I started Summer Creek Animal Clinic because I desire a different experience for my patients and clients. I am burdened every time a pet that I am charged to care for and protect is terrified to come to the vet. This has led to a passion to do things differently, to create a place where pets are dragging their owners into the practice rather than clawing their way out of it. Many in our profession would say this task is impractical or impossible, but I believe every patient and client deserves this level of care and attention to their emotional health. I have also seen a desire within the community of pet owners for an experience that is consistent, thorough, transparent, honest, and fair. I have desired these things with deep conviction as well and this has motivated me to create a practice from the ground that provides this experience for the client and patient with great excellence and efficiency. I am a Texan through and through, growing up in Garland, TX and graduating from Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. I ended up in Fort Worth after getting married in 2011 and we quickly fell in love with this city. Cowtown is our home now and we are here to stay. I worked in emergency medicine for 2 years followed by a day practice for 6 years after that. My main interests medically are preventive medicine, pain management, and dentistry/oral surgery.
I enjoy watching movies with my beautiful wife, hanging out with our 4 dogs, and spending time with our church family. I also enjoy board games, card games, and old school video games.
As I embarked on the journey with my husband to start Summer Creek Animal Clinic, I fell in love with the vision we were crafting because I knew it was different from any other veterinary practice. I am passionate about leading our team as we love people and their pets and striving to make a difference in both their lives. The experience I have gained as a veterinary nurse and my education in public health has led me to a full devotion to preventive medicine, excellent service, and a fear free experience for dogs and cats. I love both the people and pets of Fort Worth and I am honored we are able to serve them both. When I am not at the clinic, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and our four dogs, working in the garden, and exploring Cowtown!
I sought work as a customer care representative because I have a love for people as well as a love for animals. When considering my future career I knew I wanted to combine these two things that I am so passionate about. I desire my life to be lived in such a way that makes others feel blessed as well as loved, and I get to do that at Summer Creek Animal Clinic!
In my free time, I take my dog Frankie to the park and other places to play. I also serve the homeless and look for ways to meet the needs of low-income families through ministries or random acts of kindness.
Client Care Representative
Working at Summer Creek Animal Clinic is my first Fear Free experience and I am reminded why I enjoy working with pets all over again; it's the love they share with us in return. With being part of a Fear Free clinic, there's just simply more of it. Not only do we get to talk to owners about practicing consistent preventive care, we make sure to also point out the emotional impact veterinary visits have on their pets. When we make experiences free of fear, anxiety, and stress, we see pets that are at first too scared to visit the vet do a complete 180 and can't wait to walk through our door.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, Elizabeth, and our 8 furbabies! I also enjoy watching movies, playing video games, and playing baseball with my family.
Veterinary Technician Assistant
From a very young age I knew I wanted to work with animals. I went to Texas A&M University to become a veterinarian and that is where I learned I loved being a veterinary technician. For the last 3 years, I have worked in specialty medicine and developed a love for animal neurology. During that time, I realized that I missed forming relationships, not only with animals, but with their people too. That is what led me to return to general practice.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my son, and my dog and cat. I love to go camping and rafting and enjoy going to the shooting range. I love spending time with my family and friends, playing board games, and working on puzzles.
